Unable to create directory.

After the installation, in the front end I read the following message:

Unable to create directory.
Something went wrong while loading template file for your blog.

The back end works well. It doesn't matter which template i select, the message is the same

And now?

Re : Unable to create directory.

Hello

It seems dotclear can't write to cache folder. Could you try setting permissions on /dotclear/cache/cbtpl directory to 755 ?

Re : Unable to create directory.

There are several other possible causes :

Is safe mode off ?
Is the constant DC_TPL_CACHE in inc/config.php the correct path to your cache directory ?
Does your themes directory have the correct permissions ?

If any of these tips did not solve the problem, could you give us an idea of your web server hierarchy and the values in about:config plugin for themes_path and themes_url?

Re : Unable to create directory.

@mihal

I had the same problem when my cache folder had 777. I had to change it to 755 and then it worked.

Sometimes, less is more.

I Dotclear.
