Hi all,
I have a situation where I wish to change the urls of all my posts to lowercase.
This is needed because I have a series of old articles from Wordpress with the slug in lowercase.
It is a simple task to put a permanent redirect into an .htaccess file in the root of WP to kick users over to DC, but I've noticed that this results in a 404 error when the landing slug has capitals in.
For example:
http://mysite.com/wordpress/i-am-an-article results in a 404 when redirected to http://mysite.com/dotclear/i-am-an-article, even though the true article url in DC is http://mysite.com/dotclear/I-am-an-Article
In my DC about:config my post_url settings are set as {t} (just the title), which is what I want, but is there a way to order *every* url to be in lowercase, regardless of whether the article case?
Thank you in advance.

For every post, you may indicate its URL freely if necessary, thus for example changing I-am-an-Article to i-am-an-article. However, I do not know of a faster way to do it than opening every post to change its URL.
There is also a plugin in Dotaddict named tweakURLs, that will allow for every new post to have its URL in lowercase

Thanks Phillipe; that pretty much confirms what I suspected.
I'll take a look at that plugin, though, as I'd like to keep capital letters out of my future urls.

You can do any URL which you want, for example, Keith Urban concerts: http://keithurbantourtickets.com/
