Many thanks Dotclear team for this new version. I gave it immediately a try and I struggle to get Favorites changed in my Dashboard.
I have the same settings as in 2.8.2 and when I add favorites, I get message "Favorites have been successfully added." but there are no favorites only the default "New Entry".
Franck mentioned changes to admin area in the blog.
Could you tell me what I have to change to get it working?
What I did so far:
Used 2 different browsers
Compared 2.8.2 settings with 2.9 settings
Cache/Public folder have got 777
Thanks in advance

Could you check this :
1. Go to System settings menu
2. Click on user:preferences item
3. Scroll down to dashboard block
4. Tell me what value and type you have for the "favorites" line

Anyway, could you :
1. install this plugin → http://open-time.net/public/dc2/plugin-growUp-0.1.zip
2. return to main dashboard
3. uninstall this plugin
It should fix your problem.

Hi Franck
The plugin did the job. Thanks!
Re:

There was only written "Array". I then used the line from my 2.8.2 but it had not impact on the dashboard itself.
The DC2.9 was a clean, fresh test installation, new database, new location like a beginner. I wanted to test if the German language bug #2093 pack has been solved, no it hasn't.
Is this the normal behaviour from now on in "favorites - "["blog_theme"]" - array?"
[Update] After closing the browser and logging in again, the line "favorites" had changed to "["new_post","posts","comments","tags","blogroll","pages","blog_theme","widgets","simpleMenu"]"

["new_post","posts","comments","tags","blogroll","pages","blog_theme","widgets","simpleMenu"]" / "array" seems to be the "global" pref you stored once, maybe?
My own prefs :
User → ["new_post","posts","comments","media","pages","maintenance","plugins"]
Global → ["new_post","posts","comments","prefs","blog_pref","blog_theme","pages","blogroll"]
The global favs will be used if the user delete all his favs.
The global favs may be set by the super-admin only.

Franck, sorry for confusion, I added these favorites to the dashboard. Everything works fine now.
