How to purge the cache?

Greetings all,
I'm just now evaluating Dotclear. So far I like it. But can't seem to find
any way to clear the cache, within the administration area. I'm attempting
some theme development, and it's difficult, to impossible to realize any
changes, if I can't clear the DC cache, before reloading the page. I somehow
expected to find a button somewhere, that would permit this. Have I just
missed it?

Thank you for all your time, and consideration.

Re : How to purge the cache?

Hi,

Two ways to do this:

1. Using the maintenance plugin (Left menu → Plugins → Maintenance), then choose the « Empty templates cache directory » in the Servicing tab. It will empty all of the template cache.

2. During theme development you may need (as I had some times) to delete only one of these cache files, or even retrieve the cache filename for a specific template file in order to check its content. Do to this, install the sysInfo plugin and select the « Compiled templates » in the combo box to display all of the template cache. You can then select one or multiple of these files to delete them.

(sysInfo plugin is avalaible here http://plugins.dotaddict.org/dc2/details/sysInfo)

Re : How to purge the cache?

Hello Franck, and thank you very much for your reply.

I think I'll take option 1. It just seems a little more intuitive. :)

IMHO the administration area should contain a

Cache:

() on () off () purge

OK

If I were to create such an addition, do you think the Dotclear
developers would be at all interested in including it?

Thanks again, Franck!

P.S. The Dotclear web site looks abandoned.
The bottom of the page indicates: Dotclear © 2003-2016
Shouldn't that be: Dotclear © 2003-2017?
Maybe a

Dotclear © 2003-<?php echo date('Y'); ?>

But I'm guessing you altready knew that. ;) ;)
