different device screen sizes

How does dotclear deal with desktop/tablet/mobile screen sizes?

Do all the styles automatically adapt or do I have to choose one that does?
Or, is there some option whereby I choose different styles for different end user devices?

Re : different device screen sizes

Hello rgh

You need to choose a theme that works for both. Unfortunately, most themes are older and are not made responsive.

There are some responsive themes on Dotaddict, especially amongst the most recent ones. The best way to find out how a theme behaves is to try the online demo ;)

Re : different device screen sizes

The default themes that ship with dotclear (Berlin or Ductile) are also fully responsive...

Thanks ben_griffith & Philippe.

I don't have an  'Install or upgrade a theme' tab within 'Dashboard>Blog aspect'.

I'll try asking my blog provider to install those two you mention.

Re : different device screen sizes

Turns out I have dotclear 2.0 installed.

Anyone know of a source of responsive themes that work with that version?

I found a couple at http://themes.dotaddict.org/galerie-dc2/tag/responsive.

Re : different device screen sizes

@rgh

Sorry for the delay.
DC2.0 is very old and from a time when no responsive theme would have worked, because there were no iPads/iPhones/Androids.
Maybe you can change the provider.
