Formatting the Blog Description

I did a quick search but didn't find an answer.

Is it possible to format the Blog's Description?

I've entered some text and some quick instructions for my blog (Social Sharing, Comments, etc)

But when ever I format the text, whether it be line breaks or bold test and even a table. It just gets erased and become sone run on sentence.

About the ONLY formatting held is the BOLD text.

Hi, it depends on the theme and the way blog description is inserted in the top template.
